Plot

"Insa-dong Scandal" is about the restoration of a Joseon dynasty masterpiece and its secrets. Conflicts arise between Tae-jin Bae (Jeong-hwa Eom) and the art restoration expert she hires, Kang-jun Lee (Rae-won Kim).

"Insadong Scandal" opened #4 at the South Korean box office selling 268,803 tickets (12.9 % of all ticket sales) during its opening May 1st - May 3rd, 2009 weekend.
"Insadong Scandal" sold 1.1 million tickets, grossing 7.5 billion ₩, through its domestic theatrical run (staying in the top ten for 4 weeks).
